Angkor Wat: construction and enigma
Uncover the mysteries surrounding the ancient temple complex of Angkor Wat. Who truly constructed this architectural marvel, and what does its geographical placement reveal about our understanding of history? Join us in exploring these intriguing questions.

The builders of a wonder
Angkor Wat stands as a monumental testament to ancient engineering and artistry. However, and yet again similarly to THE PYRAMIDS, the exact methods and true originators of its construction appear to be unknown, which, having been there many times myself, is quite unbelievable for an incredible structure like this
I do know that the word "Wat" means "temple" in English, and with the obvious lotus flowers formed in their closed position, only shows how important it was, plus given that this temple had a 'gatehouse' on the far eastern side of Thailand, which I also drove to, and saw myself, this only further shouts to me of how incredibly important this 'empire' obviously once was.
The lotus flower is admired and worshipped in many parts of what we call Cambodia today, and much further afield such as Vietnam, and Laos, both of which I visited many times, to me, adds even more mystery to this stunningly beautiful, enormous empiracal estate.
Was it solely the work of a single civilisation, or are there other factors that need to be considered when attributing its creation? I invite you to ponder the conventional narratives and consider alternative perspectives.

Geographical secrets unveiled
The geographical location of Angkor Wat in is often taken for granted, yet it holds clues that challenge our historical understanding. How did such a vast and complex structure come to be in this specific place? What connections might it have to broader global histories or ancient knowledge systems? This unique aspect of Angkor Wat prompts us to look beyond simplistic explanations. I do mention more on my DIGITAL ROUTES page, which may prove helpful.
